Dear Henry R. Sleeper
In the book: Kingston New Hampshire: Early Families/Patriots & Soldiers by Kathleen E. Hosier & pub. by Heritage Books, Inc., there appears on pp 174/175 the
following:
BENJAMIN SLEEPER b 14 Feb 1733: m (1) 9 Apr 1750 Hannah Hersey: m(2) Hannah Lovering 9 Apr 1759 (NHGR 3:90).
This particular Benjamin Sleeper -4 -is the son of Moses Sleeper, Sr. -3- (Aaron Sleeper, Sr. -2-; Thomas Sleeper -1-)-----
Do you know the parents of the particular Benjamin Sleeper you are looking for?
Could records have got written up wrong and the fact that both wives of the above Benjamin were both the same "Hannah" -- perhaps the Lovering family can be looked into? The date of the Benjamin you are looking for and his
children may be by the second wife?Although, notice by
this information that Benjamin is supposed to be married to each wife, Hannah, on the same day of the month; just different years?Misinformation that needs clearing up?
Perhaps, in Thomaston, Maine?
