There was a Stephen Slifer, married Eizabeth Flenner in Washington County, MD, in 1802 and departed for Butler County, OH, soon after.On records in Ohio before 1812.These are possible source for your Slifer's.I do not know much about this branch of Slifer family tree.My own settled in Champaign County, OH, but do not provide a George with anything like the right birthdate.There is another possible source in Crawford County, OH.
