Hi! We traded some info about 5 years ago.I'm no closer to untangling the Fairfield Slifes now than I was then!!The Lydia Slife, b. 1847, is my great grandmother.I have her father's will. The children, as far as I can tell, are:
Sarah, b. 1837, m. Michael Draske (the will is hard to read, so I'm not sure about his last name)
Elizabeth, b. 1831, m. John S. Lincoln (they're found in the 1850 Census for Violet, Fairfield, Oh.) John doesn't appear in the 1870 Census for Jefferson Township, Pulaski, Indiana, and I don't know what happened to Elizbeth after the 1880 Census. Her children continued to live there, but I haven't found a remarriage or death date for her.
Catherine, b.1835, m. Frederick Kramer
girl, b. 1836-1839 (not in will)
Barbara, b. 1840(not in will)
John, b. 29 Feb 1844, d. 312 May 1924 in Jefferson Towhship, Pulaski, Indiana, m. Nancy Ann (Kobel) Bliss, served in the Civil War
Lydia, b. 11 November 1847, d. 5 August, 1911, Jefferson Township, Pulaski, Indiana, m. Patrick A. Malia
Henry and Catherine, Elizabeth and John Lincoln, John, and Lydia are in the 1860 Census for Jefferson Township, Pulaski, Indiana.I don't know where the other daughters are.
Another family researcher thinks that the children of John and Maria are Henry, b. 1795, Daniel, b. 1800, and John N.I don't know what she bases this on and I don't know how accurate it is.The dates you have seem to make more sense.
Let me know if you find anything and I'll do the same.
