Hi Ron and all others interested in the family Slizewski,
I just started researching my ancestry and was thrilled to find this forum. So I'm glad to give some information you might be interested in. Just hope that anybody will read this, since the discussion is a bit old by now.
My great-grandfather was an Adolf Slizewski. He was married to Monika, born Packeiser from Straczewo, which might be the polish name for Preussisch Stargard. Their daughter Antonie Slizewski was born in a town then called Rehhof, Kreis Stuhm in East Prussia. I don't know the actual polish name for this city. Antonie married in 1922 Paul Stanislaus Drywa. He was born in Romberg, Preussisch Stargard. So I'm sure they are related to the Slizeskis asked for. Paul Stanislaus and Antonie had seven children, of whom my mother was the youngest.
At the end of the second world war my grandmother Antonie fled with the children when the Russian army drew near. Her parents lived somewhere else, but managed to flee in time, too. Monika Slizewski died 1949 in Leipzig and Johann Slizewski must have died before that in Cologne.
Greetings from Germany to all my relatives over there in the United States!
