Thank you for your reply.I don't know when or where Ambrose died.He was still in Adair Co. IA in the 1900 census, living with a son Leon, born 1863 in Ill.No one else listed in the household.He is listed as Ambrose R. in this census.Lots of similairities here, but no proof - yet.
Thank you for sharing your tremendous storehouse of Slocum knowledge and your willingness to help other Slocum researchers.
