Frances Small Holt
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Frances Small Holt, 92, of 5036 South N.C. 49, Burlington, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at 8:55 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Wayne Greer Holt and the daughter of Birs Tate Small and Tessie McAdams Small, both deceased. She was a retired beautician and formerly fixed hair at many nursing and retirement homes in Alamance County. Frances was a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church and attended Friendship United Methodist Church. Along with her husband, they delivered Meals on Wheels for Alamance County.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Parker and husband Doug and Tracie Holt, all of Burlington; two grandchildren, Lisa Kelley and husband Todd of Graham and Ricky Parker and wife Stephani of Burlington; one great-granddaughter, Samantha; several nieces; and her two grand dogs, Jake and Gus.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Graham and Annie Hobgood and two brothers, Jack Small and Joe Small.
A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Bill Wolfe.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence of a daughter, Pat Parker, 611 South Sellars Mill Road, Burlington, N.C.
