I know of no connection between my Waller line, which is on my mother's side, and my paternal Glenn Line, which appears later in the U.S.(1834) than the Glenn line you mention in your message. As to my Glenn line, see the following that I posted last year on the Glenn family forum:
"I am researching the ancestors of Robert Glenn, my great, great grandfather, b. around 1813, in Antrim County, Ireland,d. Van Wert, Ohio, 1877, who immigrated from Londonderry, Ireland to the U.S.in 1834,arriving in that year on the ship Phoenix in Philadelphia.
Research to date indicates that he probably first moved to East Central Ohio and married Ann,or Anna,or Anne Smith, b. Scotland or Ireland in 1818. They were married before 1838, and their 4th child, a son, my great grandfather, John Smith Glenn, was born in Morgan County,Ohio,on 2/29/1844. I cannot find the family in the 1840 census records.
The family apparently returned East to Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, as they are shown there in the 1850 census records, listing Robert, age 36, Ann,age 33, Eliza, age 12, Mary P.,age 9, William M.,age 8, John, age 6, and Thomas, age 2.
The family then headed West, living in the late 1850s or early 1860s in Lima, Ohio, finally locating in Van Wert, Ohio, prior to the 1870 census, which shows Robert, age 57, Anna, age 53, Thomas, age 22, Mame, age 26, Susie, age 19, and Clara, age 10, in Van Wert.
The 1880 Van Wert census shows Hannah Glenn, born in Ireland, age 63, living with daughter Clara, born in Ohio, age 21.
The Van Wert cemetery contains monuments for Eliza Glenn Jones, 1838-1881, Ann Glenn, 1818-1883, Robert Glenn, 1813-1877, Clara Glenn, 1859-1884, Gertie Glenn, 11/14/1878-2/21/1881, and Thomas M. Glenn, 1848-1922.
I have also wondered if there is any connection of my Glenn family with the Glenn family of The Astronaut John Glenn, whose family was from Columbiana County, Ohio, which is fairly close to Morgan County, Ohio, and to Allegheny County, PA."
I have had no followup which disclosed any information as to my Robert Glenn line; so I am stuck at going back from him in Northern Ireland.
It is of course possible that my line and the Glenn line mentioned by you have common ancestors in Ireland and/or Scotland.
