I found your Eleanor Smith on FTM cd 4. The cd has a different marriage date for Eleanor and Phillip. It has June 17, 1799. But it has his last name spelled as Debo
and then they are Allen Deboe who married Jencey Love on November 21, 1820. Joseph Deboe who married Polly Dalton on November 21, 1835. The last one is Phillip Deboe Jr. married Rebecca Custar on December 17, 1827. Those must have been their children, but there are other Debo not Deboe as yet. There is a Betsey Debo who married David Rorer January 21, 1793 and Christina Debo who married Andrew Crider on January 1, 1796 and Michael Debo who married Catherine Sanders on January 3, 1795. These must have been Phillip Debo siblings. so They must have added the E between 1800-1820s. These marriages were all in Pittsylvania county Virginia. I saw at least 50 Smith marriages. I can write all of those down for you if you like. Do you know where your Debo/Deboe came from. I saw a listing on that same cd for a Debo in Caswell North Carolina.
