I did a quick search and it appears that your John William Teeple's father was born in Michigan from Canadian parents and goes back to George and Hannah(?) Montanye (sp?) Teeple of NY, who appear to be related to the NJ Teeples, specifically Lucas.My Isaac (b. 1760 NJ) is probably the son of Christopher (b. 1730), son of Lucas (b. 1696).The Teeple People website gives several Teeple researchers, but as the founder saya:The Teeples seem to leave NJ "one noodle at a time".Seems the Revolutionary War sent several branches north to Canada.Isaac participated in the "Whiskey Rebellion" of Western PA and his father died in Canada so he may have been from the Tory side of the family.
