I am sorry but I can't help you with your enquiry re Alexander Smylie.I have no connection with the Smylie family my interset in William Millar Smylie being part of my research into a group of men killed while serving with the Australian Imperial Force in WW1.He was born on 17 Apr 1893 at 19 Thorn Street, Belfast, Co Antrim.Parents Joseph & Anna (Annie) Maria nee Martin, her mother's maiden name was Millar.Brian
