The name was spelled Soltis, like mine. The 1900 census has Soltos, but the 1910 census spells it Soltis. I have never seen anyone in our family spell it Soltys or Soltesz.
I do not yet know Annie's maiden name. I am told through family members that she re-married twice after Andy died, the last to "Croco" (my attempt at phonetic spelling - nobody knew the correct spelling).
I am also told that both died in Indiana County and that at least Andy was buried in Glen Campbell. Nobody knows the dates, but I have surmised that Andy must have died before 1925 and Annie probably during the mid-1930s.
It gets a little confusing between me and Doug Roper since we are both searching for the same names in Glen Campbell. To the best of my knowledge, they are unrelated except through marriage to a Misencik. One of my grandmother's siblings also married a Misencik.
A side note - I know that your relatives settled in Fayetten Co., south east of Indiana Co., the location I am studying. If someone does ask, I have been producing mini-trees of Soltis families based on obituaries in the Indiana Co. historical museum so that I could keep straight which Soltis family an obituary belonged to. So far, I have identified 9 apparently unrelated Soltis families in: Johnstown, Nanty Glo, Glen Campbell (2 - Doug Roper's relatives and mine), Homer City (2 different families), Blairsville, and Emeigh (2 unrelated families). I have scanned the obits and could forward the file to interested parties. I would also be interested in seeing other obits from area to help me keep things straight.
