Hi,
As Soraya will also tell you, sometimes it's difficult to trace family because of the common usage of names. I'm finding that with my Roper family. My Grandmother, Annie (my mother's mother) is s Soltis. Annie is one of 7 children of John (Jan) Soltis who came over from Slovakia in the late 1800's. There is no Charles in my family line but my mother has a cousin John Soltis who lives in Seattle and another names Peter who lives in Naples Florida. My mother and I live in Jacksonville, Florida. We know of no other Soltis in Florida but that doesn't mean there isn't any. If you are web savy, use the white pages (www.whitepages.com)and go by trial and error. That's how I tracked down my mother's cousins.
My Soltis, as seem most Soltis', came from the Pennsylvania area. My grandmother was born in Horatio (do you know where that is?) PA and most of the family was born in and resided in Glen Campbell, PA. My grandmother came down to Mims Florida to marry my grandfather James Folsom.
Doug
