Marie:I see it is quite a long time since you posted this message, so I don't know if you will even see my reply.Anway,I am also researching the Spahn family.I have a Magdalena Spahn married to a Nikolaus Trageser who had a son named Johann Adam Trageser around 1828.Although I believe that Magadalena died in Germany, her son Johann emigrated to Baltimore with members of his family, who were most likely Spahn's.The Trageser's were associated with St. James Church.Perhaps this is a place to look for your Spahn immigrants?
