Sorry I couldn't be of service. I do have a couple of Parker Adkins'. You may have better luck looking through Lincoln and Logan County records for the Spears family as that's where they settled after moving here from Ohio.

I'm having a terrible time myself trying to find out what happened to my Great Grandmother (Spears) Bird's mother. She was an Elkins who had children by a Spears, was possibly married to his brother and had children by him, and at some point married a Nichols, (which by the way I discovered quite by accident while looking for your Spears). I think I'm getting closer, but it's tough. Anyhow, I'll keep my eyes peeled for a connection with your husband's people while I work on it.
