While researching the same line I ran across your posting and knew your family fit in.I had 2 Murnahan sisters that married 2 sons of Paul Spears and Margaret Ferris, so I remembered the name Huldah Spears from their family. You can see your William Spears (b. 1849/1850 and Huldah in the 1860 census for Lawrence Co., Ohio as:
Spears, Margaret - 42
Mary - 20
Anderson - 18 (married Miriam Murnahan)
Eliza - 16
Julia - 12
Wm. - 10
Huldah - 8
There 1850 census:
Spears, Paul - 40 Va
Peggy - 36
John - 20
James - 19 (married Jane Murnahan)
Elizabeth - 17
Henry - 12
Polly - 9
Andrew - 8 (probably Anderson from above)
Louisa - 6
Julleann - 3
Paul can be seen in the 1840 census and the 1830 census in Lawrence County, Ohio, as well.
Paul Spears, Jr. and Peggy Harris were married on June 10, 1830 and lived right beside the older James (born 1780-1790).There was an older Paul in the previous 1820 census (b. < 1775) and an older Peter from the 1840 census (b. 1760-1770) that seems to be the grand-daddies of them all.
