I am researching land that was divided up in approx year 1761 in Stratham N.H and Exeter with land including the estate of John Speedwhich states he is late of Stratham. This land all bordering land also of Richard Scammon, Kensley Jones, John Jones, Benjamin Jones, Jonathan Jones, Mary Jones, Dr Josiah Gilman, Capt James Leavitt. The division of land is very descriptive if you need more info. This is the first time I have seen John Speeds estate connecting to my family of Scammon in this area and thought it may help you in your research. IF you have any more information on Scammon please let me know.
