I have no info on subject burial place, but this information from the family bible of Burwell McBride, II of Hickory Hill Plantation, Hampton County, SC. (1787-1857) might be of some interest to you:
According to entries in the Bible, there were 3 Speights brothers: James (1800-1853), Evander McIver (born 1802), and Elias Mc. Speights (1804-1850). They were the sons of ______Speights and Sarah Rose McBride (sister of Burwell McBride, II).
The following is a direct quote from the Bible: These are the children of Evander McIver Speights and Eliza his wife, of Williamsburgh, South Carolina:
Elizabeth Graham Speights, b. 11/8/1825 Caroline Jane Speights, b.4/22/1828 James Archibald McBride Speights, b.11/20/30 Sarah Ann Speights, b.1/15/33 William Thomas Speights, b.9/10/35 Elias Speights, b. 9/1/1837
I would guess that some of the Speightses are probably buried adjacent to a country church in the vicinity of Williamsburgh, SC. As I am unable to locate Williamsburgh on any current S>C> map, I suppose it must have been a fairly small place, and it may in fact no longer exist. I would not automatically assume that it was in Williamsburg County; it may have been in Darlington County (which is where the McBride Family lived). The McBrides were Presbyterians. My grandmother's branch of the Speights family (who lived near Walterboro, in Colleton County, S.C.), were mostly Methodists, so I would look for cemeteries adjacent to Methodist or Presbyterian Churches.
I hope this info will be of some value to you. Feel free to contact me if I might provide anything further in the way of family history. Good luck in your search.
