Hello Nadine First off I wanted to find out what time frame are you talking about. I have found out that I am related to (My Gr. Gr. Gr. Gr. Grandfather), William Spencer of Montgomery co. N. C. but he was there in the middle seventeen hundreds, but he had a son named William and several grandsons and great grandsons named William and many of them settled in Georgian and Miss. and Texas. I know my own Gr. Gr. Grandfather was named Robert Spencer in the 1860 census for Polk Co. Arkansas. and during that census there was a George Spencer living with him, but Roberts wife Rebecca was only 28 and this George was 16 so she would have been 12 when he was born so I don't think she was his mother. Like I said that was the 1860 census just before the Civil War, and that George Spencer was 16 years old. After that in 1870 I lost all leads on that George Spencer, so I figure the Civil War got him. But please tell me when are you talking about and where was your William and George Basil Spencer born?
