Lloyd Ervin Spielman was born in Dovray Township, on June 27, 1922, to Fred W. and Mae (Reid) Spielman.He grew up in the Dovray area, and attended Murray County District #31 public school. On December 30, 1942, Lloyd was united in marriage to Audrey Jane Lintner.They worked for a farmer for five years until they moved to their present home in 1947. Lloyd farmed until 2000 when he retired, but he continued to help with the farm work as long as he was able. Lloyd enjoyed visiting with his family and friends and was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Westbrook where he was an usher for several years. Lloyd accepted the Lord Jesus as his savior, believing that "For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8. Lloyd Ervin Spielman, age 83 of rural Westbrook passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2005, at his home.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Audrey; his children: Roy (Sharon) Spielman, Westbrook, MN; Barbara (Roger) Vake, Lexington, SC; Loren (Judy) Spielman, Sandpoint, ID; Pat Spielman, Lewisville, TX; Wayne (Joan) Spielman, Westbrook; and Carmen (Gene) Buss, Arcadia, WI; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his sisters: Olive Mitchell, Fairmont, MN and Gladys Nelsen of Irving, TX; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers George and Alfred; and sisters Susan Finnegan and Myrtle Rausenberger.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Westbrook. Interment is in the Pleasant View Cemetery
