Re: Ezekiel Prescott Stacy

Ezekeil Prescott Stacy was the son of Moses Stacy (1807-1867) and Helena Rogers Prescott, both from Shapleigh/Acton Maine.They moved to Benton Maine where Ezekiel and his two siblings were born and raised.Moses parents were Major Samuel Stacy (1783-1849) and Mary Paul of Acton Maine.His Grandparents were Capt Samuel Stacy (1750-1788)and Alice Shapleigh, both raised in Kittery ME and died in Eliot ME.Capt Stacy was the Sailing Master on the Bonne Hoimme Richard with John Paul Jones when they had the famous battle with HMS Serapis.Capt Stacy later commanded his own vessel.
