Jack King Stacy, VA, obituary
Jack King Stacy, of Rt. 2 Pennington Gap, VA, was born in
Pennington Gap on Friday, October 19, 1945 and passed away
on Friday, March 20, 2009, at the Bristol Regional Medical
Center in Bristol, TN, at the age of 63.
Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was
a member of the Cedar Hill Country Club, Jonesville, VA,
where he enjoyed playing a good game of golf. He also
enjoyed working in his yard and playing with his grand-
daughter. He was employed by the Lee County School System,
and had lived most of his life in Lee County and was a
member of the First Baptist Church in Pennington Gap, VA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Kirk Stacy;
paternal grandparents, A. J. Stacy and Molly Kirk Stacy;
and maternal grandparents, Murph King and Ruby Barlow King.
Jack is survived by his wife, Debbie Miller Stacy of the
home; his mother, Virginia King Wallen of Pennington Gap,
VA: one son, Christopher Stacy of Pennington Gap; two
daughters, Ramey Stacy DeBusk and husband, Scott of
Bristol, VA, and Sarah Stacy and husband, James Covert of
Charlottesville, VA; granddaughter, Madelyn Grace DeBusk
of Bristol, VA; one sister, Nina Stacy Thomas of Decatur,
GA; his mother-in-law, Wanda Miller; several aunts, nieces
and nephews including special nephew, Eric Thomas; several
cousins; three half brothers; two half sisters; and
numerous other family members and friends.
The funeral service to honor and remember Jack Stacy will
be held at 8 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2009, in the
Sanctuary of the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap,
VA, with Rev. Doug Clem officiating. Visitation will be
from 6 p.m., Monday until time of the service.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday,
March 24, 2009, at the Cecil-Fry Cemetery in Pennington
Gap, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the
funeral home at 10:30 a.m, to go to the cemetery. Family
members and friends will serve as pall bearers.
