I was not aware of any additonal article regarding Hamilton published four days after the first article.We knew the person that killed Hamilton could not have been my relative James, so it is good to find out that the responsibility was on the Coolie brothers.
However, still trying to find out the NAME of the person James did shoot that resulted in his going to Batesville Jail.
Anyhow, yes we do have the letter your refer to dated 3 Apr 1878.This letter I also posted on my website along with the others.We also have his death certificate and gravestone photo at Santa Monica.
If after you see what info we have, we would be interested in seeing what more info you may have as well.Thank you.
