Re: Tennessee Staggs, English or Dutch?

Thank you for your input.I have not been able to go backward from Wayne Co. yet, so I don't know if my Staggs came down from SC or NC.I have gone forward to Georgia and Alabama, and hope to someday find a way backward.I have come to believe that my GGF, George Washington Staggs, married to my GGM Alice, was married before.He was quite a bit older than she, and it is concivible.His name comes up quite often, but I always disregarded it, thinking there were simply many men with his name.Now, I am beginning to wonder.Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could check into this?Thank you.
