I have data on Martha Jane (Rutledge) Staggs that may fit your line.I show her parents as Joseph Rutledge, Jr., who married Winnie Joslin on Oct. 3, 1800 in Lincoln Co., KY. I don't have the names of parents for John Staggs.

Their daughter, Martha Jane married John Staggs on Sep 19, 1822 in Jefferson Co., AL.

They had issue:1)Rebecca J, b. abt. 1823, d. 1918, m. Daniel J. Lawson, b. abt 1826 in AL, d. abt 1860 in AR; 2)Mary Magdalene; 3)Martha Jane; 4)Winna; 5)William G.; 6)Samuel; 7)John; and 8)Houston.

I may have add'l on these children, and John Staggs, but have not yet entered the data.I'll check further and let you know.

This is not my direct line.Joseph Jr was a brother to my John Rutledge Sr of Clark Co KY.However, I correspond with several researchers who descend directly from Joseph Rutledge Jr., and they have much more data on his descendants.We have traced our line back to PA in the late 1600's.
