I'm a little confused. You say the Stalcup who died in Sumner County, TN c. 1820 is Swithin Stalcup, one of five brothers, but not the son of Tobias. So who was his father? I have in my files a Swithin Stalcup, son of Peter Stalcop and Susanna Palsson (making him a brother to John, William, and Tobias), but that Swithin Stacup was married to a Rebecca, and moved to Floyd County, KY in about 1788 after leaving Orange County, NC. This Swithin (1745 - 1811) had a son Swithin b.c. 1782. Could Swithin, Jr. be the Sumner County, TN guy? How do I sort this out?
