Vikky,

The Thomas Stampe who was imported to Virginia in 1638 is not the progenitor of our Stamper family.

The Stampe family has been well documented it appears. Check out:

Our Stamper family apparently arrived in Virginia in the early 1650s from England. More research is needed in the Lancaster County, VA records to validate this.
