Thomas Stampe in VA 1638 (Stamper?)

By Vikky Anders October 06, 2011 at 08:10:30

He was one of other passengers transported to VA in 1638 by Richard Andrews. As history notes, there were approximately 5000 colonists in VA in 1635. I believe that Thomas Stampe was the emigrant ancestor of the Stamper line in VA.Just a theory based upon my own research.

Stamper and Wilburn families were allied for numerous generations....Hence many men named Wilburn Stamper. My own Wilburn ancestors were in VA by 1636, if not sooner.
