Am hoping you still read this site - it has been many years since your post.

I am writing a genealogy of the "old-timers" of Southeast
Alaska, namely Prince of Wales Island (where I grew up).

John Starkloff is one of these families, however, I've little information. I remember him well, he was a fisherman in Craig, fishing with my brother-in-law Byron Skinna. His sister's name was Joyce and I believe they were born/raised by Tokeen on Marble Island. He married a Tyonek lady, but the marriage didn't last, this was during the 1960s.
