I spoke with my husband's cousin Mary R. Starks,
she said she remembers -the name Minnie-(as does my husband), and Elbert-(is where one of the twin boys got his name,Elbert died(drowned) in 1965,they don't recall a Mary or Laura. We all seem to think that maybe there is some connection, -even before I read the names you gave-
Mary said I know there was a Minnie. my mother -in law never said much about her Grandpa,but she always told us her grandma Sara-was indian,had sevral first names(one being a indian name starting w/M) and ending w/last name Rodgers(we always wonder why it didn't end in Starks) she was buried in Supulpa O.K.- Unfortuantly my Mother in-law Nellie Sharon Starks(Taylor) Johnson died last week, afet a long battle w/cancer-we were triing to find all the names Sara had , because my daughter is expecting a baby-girl and wanted to name her The indian name aftter her
granma's -granma-and my mother in law always told her kids that we absoulutly could not name any of her grankids Nellie.We know that John Thomas came from Carthlege Mo,
and his wife Mary J. came from W.V.- we don't know where they met,or when or where they were married, they ended up in Kansas City Kansas. Their oldest son William Lark Starks is still living , and can probally give us more info-but he is hard to get a hold of-but will keep triing.

I sometimes loose trac of which family name I'm looking for as I have a few of such uncommon names (for the area in which I live-Brunk,Guynn,Harp-so I'll try to keep up.
