Oldest son Frederick F Starnes born 1828, died 1913 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, buried Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Stanly County, raised his family in Cabarrus County. Married first, Mary Byrum. Married second Abigail Rinehardt. His widow Abby married Marion Harrison Misenheimer after his death but is buried beside F F Starnes in Locust. Unknown where Mary Byrum Starnes is buried at this time.
