Steinbach/Stineback/Stinebeck/Steinbeck
Looking for any information on William or Wilhelm Steinbach.He married Mary __.They had one known son Peter Stineback b. June 11 or 15, 1788.Peter was possibly baptized Nov. 1788 in Knowlton Presbyterian Church, Columbia, Knowlton Twp., Warren Co., NJ.At the time of Peter's baptism the church was a German church and was in Sussex Co., NJ.I can find no trace of Peter or his parents until 1820 when I find Peter in the census in Washington Co., PA.Trying to find information on Peter's parents and any siblings.Below is information I have from the family bible.Most writing in the bible was done by Anna (Keck) Stineback with a publication date of 1823.
Peter Stineback b. June 11, 1788 son of William and Mary Stineback.
Anna Keck b. Apr. 15, 1792 daughter of George and Mary Keck.
Peter and Anna were married July 6, 1812 by James Hanson.

I can prove Peter's family in Washington Co., PA in 1820, Greene Co., PA in 1830, 3 children married in Shelby Co., IN bet. 1834-1841, children marrying after 1843 in Berrien and Cass Counties, Michigan.Peter d. Aug. 1847 in Bertrand, Berrien Co., MI.Probate in Berrien Co., MI.Anna d. Oct. 1855 in Bertrand, Berrien Co., MI.
Possible information that I need to prove:A William Steinbach married Mary or Marya Sebring, b. 1763 d/o Richard "Dirck" Sebring of Somerset Co., NJ.Found a William Stenabock listed as a Revolutionary soldier from Sussex Co., NJ.
I believe, but need proof that Anna Keck is the daughter of George Keck and Mary Prong.Two sons of George Keck and Mary Prong went to Shelby Co., IN by 1830.In 1860 a grandson of Anna Keck Stineback was living in the household of George and Charlotte Keck.
