Re: Sebastian Steinbrecher 1755-1836
I visited Bunker Hill Cemetary, 1.5 miles east of Ripley, Montgomery, IN summer of 2002. There is a readable stone there for Daniel Smith, born Dec. 27, 1786, died Sept. 21, 1861. Next to it is a less readable one for his wife. It seems to read: Christiana, wife of D. Smith, Died ........12, Aged 61 yr........ Other records indicate she may have been born Oct. 20, 1787.
Also present at this same cemetary are stones for: Sebastian Stonebraker (11/29/1755-7/5/1836)and his wife Susannah Yeakley (6/14/1760-2/6/1837) who are the parents of Christina and her sister Catherine who married George "Alamo George" Fruits, the oldest surviving Rev. War participant. There is flagpost and brass marker describing George Fruits, Jr. at the front of the cemetary.
His wife Catherine Stonebraker (from whom I descend) is also marked on this stone.
I'll be happy to share other info that might be desired.
