Lately, I have been wondering just how many people use these wonderful genealogy forums effectively.
For instance, how many people ever bother to use key words and search the forum to see if anyone else has posted anything of mutual interest?
Or, how many people, when writing their own post, bother to check the little box that tells Gen Forum to advise them if anyone replies / responds to their posted message?
Or, adding a geographical local (such as, VA or England) to the heading of their posts, to focus others with the same interest on the new post?
Simple things to do, but how many of us actually take the time to do them?
With 2014 nearly here, I hope that everyone who uses these forums--and the STEVENS forum group, in particular -- in their search for their families, will take the time to incorporate these search methods into their posts, and that the results will bring many more successes!
All good wishes to all of you for 2014.May it be your best (Genealogical!) year yet…
