Hannah Stickles was the older sister of my gr grandmother Amelia Stickles Lape. I have some notes she wrote on the family in 1925.
" My Brothers and Sisters
Julia Ann Stickles. Born in Columbia County, N.Y. about 1843. Died about 1856 and was buried in Ghent,Columbia Co, N.Y.
Hannah Stickles. Born in Columbia Co., N.Y. about 1845. Married Jackson Wilcox in Columbia Co. N. Y. about 1861. Died in Chatham, N.Y., leaving four children I think.
Amelia Elizabeth Stickles, Born march 12th 1850, in Columbia Co., N.Y. Married James H. Lape in Chatham, N.Y. Sept. 1st 1872. They had nine children. I reside in Bloomfield, N.J.
Adam Robert Stickles Jr. Born in Columbia Co. about 1852. Married Anna Allen in N. Y. State. Died in 1924 at North Adams, Mass. Eight children, I believe, from this Marriage.
Andrew Stickles. Born in Columbia Co., N.Y. about 1856. Married Emma Pulver in Columbia Co., N.Y. and is now in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. They had five children. Wife and a daughter reside in Chatham, N.Y.
Emma J. Stickles Born in Chatham, Columbia Co., N.Y. about 1858. Married Peter Hotaling in Chatham, N.Y. Died in Harrison, N.J. where the husband and four married children now reside.
