Md. Pa Stimmels
i am related to a Margaret Stimmel (no other data)
who was i beleive the daughter of John Stimmel
who was the son of Henry Stimmel.
Henry Stimmel does appear in the Vol. 5 of "Maryland Church
Records" as a Communicant in Fredericktown Evangelical Reformed on 14 Apr 1785.That is the only reference to Henry in this Volume.
Other Stimmels appear and also Stummel(s). Especially
Peter Stummel and wife Eva.
I beleive Yost Stimmel also appears as Stummel and I beleive that they are all related. There were also Stimpels
in the area and beleive that these were all variant spellings.
Before i knew i had Stimmel relations I made a note
about an Isaac Stimbel who was killed in an Indian raid
in 1757 in Pa. He is referred to as "an industrious man of Ligonier."
Can anyone add anything to my little store of Stimmel
imformation?
My Margaret Stimmel was married to Jacob Cover b 1784
their daughter Margaret Cover b. 1831 was married to
Joel Peter Williard (my G-G Grandfather)
