Bill:
Although John Stone may very well be the father of Gov. William Stone, there is still a very good probability that his father was Robert Stone also. The jury is still out.As far as John's brother, Thomas Stone, he was married to a woman named Elizabeth Lufkyn and they had three daughters, namely: Elizabeth - chr. 1 October 1609 in St. Lawrence Jewry Church, London, Eng., m. 24 February 1624 to William Wheat in Eng.; Mary - chr. 5 May 1611 in St. Lawrence Jewry Church, London, Eng., d. young; and Martha -chr. 7 February 1613 in St. Lawrence Jewry Church, London, Eng., m. 9 April 1632 to Richard Porter in London, Eng.
I do know that Thomas and Elizabeth's children remained in England, but I am currently not aware of any of Thomas Stone's grandchildren coming to America. If they did it would have probably been after 1660.
