HI!I don't know if our Stracener's are related or not, my grandmother was Bertha Edna Stracener b. 1896 in AR, not sure what county. Her mom was Elizabeth, her dad I can't remember his name (I am at work, notes at home), but her dad died about the time she was born and her mother died around 1901.Bertha and her sister Evie were adopted to a Blackwell family in Faulkner cty, AR around Pickles Gap.She also had a sister Mittie married Joe Beavers, but died at age 19.She had a brother Henry that married and settled in Dermott, AR.But before Henry married he "went to Texas" to work for an Uncle, but only stayed a year or two, coming back to AR 1901/1902.As the family story goes, another brother went to texas and was never heard from again. This was my grandmothers story, but she could have been mistaken, she was only 2 or 3 when Henry went to Texas, so I don't know if there was another brother or not.I have just started researching my Straceners and don't have a lot of info. Are you going to the Stracener reunion at Jack Clawson Park at Dierks, AR on Sun. june 3? I might.Let me know if any of this ties to your line. Thanks, Jo Dunn Sheppard
