John,
The Thomas W. Street that I am looking for is as noted in my post. Was from Virginia and married a Maples in Selma, AL. He was a cotton broker. The family disappeared from the Selma census sometimes following the War Between the States.
My interest is that Street was the son-in-law of Stephen William Maples of CT who was the namesake of our little town of Maplesville, AL, 30 miles north of Selma. Our group, the Maplesville Historical Society is searching for Maples' kin. One son was killed in the war, another went to Baton Rouge and married and we lost him there in the late 1800's. Street the son-in-law is, at present, our current target.
We will appreciate anything that you may have that will lead us forward with this family.
Thanks,
Clem
