Most Accurate Strother Family Tree?
I have just fell into the Strother Family lineage by way of the Savages. When I first looked at so many trees (roots web, ancestry.com, etc) tracing to all sorts of lords and ladies of England and I got very excited, very quickly.
In order to backtrack and make certain I am being accurate, I started with William I (King of the Scots) and moved forward on my line.It hasn't taken long and there's conflicting information, even among some of the older (early 1900s) published documentation.Between all of the Williams, Alans and Henrys, I'm growing increasingly concerned that my tree is becoming rot with errors even with my best attempts.
So, could anyone direct me to a tree that is most accurate for reference?I'm speaking of the tree through the Dunbars, Corbets, Strothers and into the Savage family. And, also, please tell me of any of those older books genealogy books that you believe should be avoided.
THANK YOU SO SO VERY MUCH.This is much appreciated!!
