Beaumont Bible
Once upon a time, back in the 1970's, there was a lady named Mae Godfrey Gladson who lived in Iowa and did research on the Doud-Beaumont line. Mae traveled to Johnston, Ohio and to Glenn Falls,NY to copy entries from an old Bible belonging to a Mrs. Stevens and also a Mrs. Stuart Sturges. Supposedly, Mrs. Ana Stevens got the Bible from her husband's mother, Lydia Beaumont. Since then Mrs. Gladson died and left her research to a library in Kansas but I have a handwritten copy of the names/marriages of Fear Alden and Isaiah Beaumont's children. This would appear to be the only proof of my great-great grandparents marrying as the courthouse burned in 1874 in Licking County. If anyone knows the Stevens family (or Stevens-Lee family) please let them know that I am searching for them as I need verification of a couple of names in the Bible as this is a transcribed list rather than a photocopy.
Many thanks!
