Looking for any and all connections with the first wife of my great-grandfather (Fredrick Heinrich Carl BRANDT).Her obituary reads: Obituary from the 'Wilsonville Review' newspaper April of 1904
Mrs. Frederick BRANDT, beloved wife of Frederick Brandt died at her home, seven miles northwest of Wilsonville, Nebraska, on April 9, 1904, after a little less than a week's illness of peritonitis.She was first taken ill on the Monday preceeding death.Minnie STAUWE was born December 22, 1848 and was therefore in her fifty-sixth year at the time of her death.She was married in 1883 to Frederick Brandt in Germany.To the union there were born six children, three of these having preceded the mother to that unknown land, there are still remaining three children, one daughter and two sons, besides the husband to mourn the death of a loving mother and devoted wife.All members of the family, a sister, Mrs. Sophia BRINKMAN, of Syracuse, Nebr., and her grand-daughter, were present at the bedside when death came, the two latter arriving but a few minutes before the end came.A mother and two other sisters also survive.Funeral services were conducted at the Tyrone church, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which the remains were brought to this place and interment made in the village cemetery, Rev. J. F. Mahoney, pastor of the M.E. church, preaching the funeral.The funeral was attended by a large concourse of friends and neighbors.
