Margaret Supplee, b. 1897, Philadelphia
Looking for information on Margaret Supplee, born March 18, 1897 in Philadelphia, or in neighboring Montgomery County. Her father was William C. Supplee (b. 1867), who was a member of Philadelphia's Supplee Milk Co. family. Her mother was Ella Harris of Philadelphia, who died in 1900 at age 31, when Margaret was 3. Margaret had no surviving siblings from that marriage. Around 1907, her father remarried, to a Helen Fanning.
Margaret applied for a passport in 1923 (at which time she listed her father as deceased), while living in Bryn Mawr, Pa. After that I'm not sure what happened to her. I expect she married and changed her name, or possibly died, before the 1930 census. Margaret's mother was a sister of my great-grandfather and I'm interested to know if Margaret married and had children, what became of her in later life, and when and where she died. I believe she would have been a first cousin of the late oil-refinery executive Henderson Supplee Jr. (1903-1992) of Radnor, Pa. If there are any Supplee relatives or family historians who might know anything about Margaret, I'd be delighted to hear from them. Many thanks.
