Fred Wm Sutter is my ggg-grandfather.He was married twice, first to a Mary C (Richards?) and had 5 children - Lorena, Myrtle, Elizabeth "Lizzie", Roy or Lee Roy, and Fred W.My grandfather William was the son of Roy Sutter.The information I have on Fred Wm is he was born about 1855 in Warren, Penn.He had at least one sibling, Lorena, and it is through her letters to another family member that I have been able to trace some of the lineage.His parents are listed as Jacob Sutter born in Baden, Germany about 1817, and Catherine Baltzer born in France about 1822.In the letters, it states that Catherine's mother is a Bilger from Breushwickersheim (I think that is spelled correctly) which is in France.Jacob and Catherine were married in Paris and came over to the US in 1846.There was also a brother Louis, because it is said he was 3 months old on the ship over to the US.Fred Wm supposedly left Pennsylvania when he was 18 and ended up in Liberty, Labette Co, KS and married Mary.There, they had the children I mentioned above, and I assume Mary died and then he came out to California and re-married
