Patricia, this is about the only genealogy forum in which I'm active, so as one who has always been able to trace his line back the "original ancestor", Gerrit, I'm not exactly an expert researcher. It sounds as if you've followed up all the obvious leads and sources but that Karel's book does not include all of your relatives. I suppose some Internet sleuthing might be in order, or even a personal visit to county seats in Arkansas to see if you can trace relatives through marriage records or title deeds to property or social activities in newspapers. Nearly every newspaper in Kansas is now on microfilm at the Kansas Museum of History, located just west of Topeka, and I've tracked down a lost relative or two by going through death notices in them. I don't know if a similar collection exists in Arkansas. Another fabulous site for Kansas newspapers is http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/newspapers/kansas/http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/newspapers/kansas/, which is funded by the Library of Congress, but only selected newspapers are included. Other states' newspapers may be included, but I haven't checked. Good luck!
