Emerson Swope

Does anybody have any information about an Emerson Swope, born about 1810 somewhere in Virginia, and living in Talladega County, Alabama in 1850?His daughter, Francis, was born July, 1831, in Tennessee, and his son Robert was born about 1846 in Alabama.He appears to have been a widower by 1850, because no woman near his age was living with him, but a 60-year old woman named Rosa B. Seay was living with him, probably to help raise his children, particularly his young son.I'm assuming she was his mother-in-law, and his wife's maiden name was Seay.She might have been his mother, however, who remarried after having been married to a Swope.

Anybody know where in Virginia he was from or where in Tennessee he lived?
