I noticed your interest in the Taggs of the East London area. I am looking for information about a Henry and Mary Tagg and their family who seem to have been based around the Hackney/Bethnal Green area. Henry was born c. 1812 in Hackney & Mary (maiden name unknown to me) c. 1814/5. According to 1861 census they had two sons William (b. c.1847) and Thomas (c. 1849). My interest is that Mary Tagg (died 1882 Hackney) appears to have been the grandmother of my great-grandmother, Mary Killingback later Venables, whose mother may also have been a Mary. Info. suggests Mary Tagg lived at some point with Mary K., and also a couple Thomas & Susan Denby, one of who appears to have been a sibling of either Henry or Mary. I believe Henry Tagg was a farrier or blacksmith. I would be interested to know if you have any more info. on this group.
