Re: Taggs of Hackney
I notice you're Henry Tagg from Hackney was married to a Mary and you think her maiden name may have been Denby.
My Edward Tagg (b. Hackney c.1809), also a farrier/blacksmith. had a brother Henry also born c.1812. I'm still checking but I think their parents may have been Thomas Tagg (b.1780, died 1840)and Mary Arundell married Spitalfields, 18/04/1802. Henry and Edward had a sister Mary (b.1806 Spitalfields) and brother William (b.1808 Spitalfields
Edward's brother Henry in my tree was married to a Mary Millingback with at least two sons Thomas and William. .
I think there must be a link - Mary Killingback vs Mary Millingback, common Henry Tagg living in Hackney with the same birth year with blacksmith/farrier trade in the family. Then Henry and Mary with same name sons.
Could your Henry's wife Mary's maiden name have been Killingback/Millingback instead of the Denby?
