German origin of name day
I understand that the Day family originally came from
Germany to England and changed the name Taig, Tagg, Taug?
to the name Day, which is the English equivalent of the
German meaning. If any of you know please advise. I have
traced my Day family to London in the 1600's but find them
no futher back. Could a name change be the reason. ?
Let me hear from your please if you can be of any help.
F.Day
