Thanks for the response and the fascinating insight into the origin of the name Tannatt.My mother-in-law is a Tannatt (Vivienne) and hails from London.She has a sister and brother, Valerie & Stanley, who live in Margate.Their father was Stanley Leonard Tannatt b 22 Jul 1913 d 1996 and he was married to Marjorie Norris b. 3 Jun 1916 d. 24 Aug 1994.Stanley's father was David Tannatt b Dec 1881 London and was married to Louisa Olive Schofield b. Sep 1883 London.

That's as much info as I have been able to glean from the family at this point.I believe that some of David's siblings may have emigrated to the US but that is only hearsay at this point.

Brian, I am definitely not a professional genealogist and purely researching our family heritage so any assistance you may be able to provide me directly would be most welcome.We currently reside in Perth, Western Australia and welcome any contact from other relatives elsewhere in the world.
