Nimrod Tapp>Vincent Tapp
The info concerning the posting yesterday...The letter notes by Mary Tapp descendants of William and Mary Tapp. (cousins)
Their notes: Vincent Tapp b. 8 Oct 1813, married Rachel Burris, son of Nimrod Tapp b. 1765. Nimrod was son of Vincent and Molly Jett Tapp.
Nimrod Tapp married Heater Thorpe, Culpeper County VA. They had twin sons, Moses and Vincent b 8 Oct 1813. This Moses married Mary Ann Craven 1836.STOP
This appears to be factual, Vincent married Rachel Burris April 28, 1827 in Washington County TN.
HIS BROTHER NIMROD JR LIVED IN WASHINGTON COUNTY TN.
This makes sense.
Research has failed to come up with Vincent, however in 1850, Oldham County KY (the same county that Moses was listed onin the 1860 census), a Vincent Tapp 42yo Ky was enumerated with a A.J Carlin, and family, his wifes name is Sarah Carlin 35.Carlin was listed as a mechanic, same as Vincent.
It's most likely this is Moses brother. It appears that his wife had died.It appears that a Vincent is always somewhere near a Moses or Nimrod.
